On June 1, 2024, our crews responded to an emergency call and were honored to assist in the safe delivery of a baby girl. While the circumstances were unexpected, and the mother was unable to care for the newborn, a compassionate extended family member stepped forward to adopt the child. Recognizing the sudden and significant responsibility this placed on the family, Patterson Gives Back partnered with The Kindness Knot and First Baptist Church to provide essential baby supplies and support. This act of community collaboration ensured the child had a strong, loving start. In a heartfelt moment, the firefighters who delivered the baby were later reunited with her and recognized for their role in bringing new life safely into the world—a powerful reminder of the lasting impact of service, compassion, and unity.
